Victor Dallaire was born and continue to live and work at  La Baie on the shore of majestic Saguenay Fjord in the Province of Quebec.

He discovered his artistic ability with brother Isidore Bergeron at l’Ecole des Arts et Metiers. In 1958 Jean-Marie Gauvreault, Director of l’Ecole du meuble de Montreal and director of  ‘’Artisanat’’ for the province Quebec recognized the exceptional talent of the fifteen year old lad and recommended Victor for a grant from the Ministry of Cultural affair.

For the next two year Victor continued to refine technique at the famous carving school at St. Jean-Port-Jolie.

The art of Victor Dallaire reflect the creativity and imagination of the sculptor. The precision of his hand allows him to express this art in a wide variety of subject. The artist also takes orders for commissioned works. A visit to the studio is a must during your stay in the Saguenay Area.

Victor Dallaire has acquired an international fame thanks to his talent and his masterworks. His works have been introduced to exhibitions all throughout Canada, United States and Europe. In June, 1984 Victor Dallaire was the invited guest of the Canadian ambassador to France at Canada. House in Paris to celebrate the 450th Anniversary of Jacques Cartier’s discovery.
